{"id":25450,"date":"2022-11-15T12:01:04","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T11:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dermerklinger.de\/?post_type=rezept&#038;p=25450"},"modified":"2022-11-16T10:34:42","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T09:34:42","slug":"baked-apples-with-marzipan-filling","status":"publish","type":"rezept","link":"https:\/\/www.dermerklinger.de\/en\/rezept\/brataepfel-mit-marzipanfuellung\/","title":{"rendered":"Baked apples with marzipan filling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>You will need:<\/strong>\u00a0Firebricks\/spacer grate<br><strong>Top heat:\u00a0<\/strong>approx. 180-200\u00b0C<br><strong>Preheating:\u00a0<\/strong>approx. 30 minutes<br><strong>Working hours:<\/strong>  20 minutes<br><strong>Roast:<\/strong> approx. 25-40 minutes<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>  (for 6 persons)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6 medium-sized, red-cheeked, tart apples<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>200 g marzipan<\/li><li>2 tbsp raisins<\/li><li>2 tbsp rum or apple juice<\/li><li>50 g chopped almonds<\/li><li>Powdered sugar for the work surface<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the almond shell:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>75 g melted butter<\/li><li>75 g sugar<\/li><li>75 g ground almonds<\/li><li>1\/2 teaspoon cinnamon or gingerbread spice<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In addition:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apple juice<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Wash the apples and pat dry. Cut off the tops as thick as a thumb and set aside. Remove the cores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the filling:<\/strong><br>Soak the raisins in rum or apple juice and leave to infuse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knead the marzipan with the raisins and chopped almonds and roll into long strands on a work surface sprinkled with powdered sugar. These should be thick enough to fit into the hollowed-out apples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cut off approx. 10 cm per apple and insert into the apples. The marzipan filling should stick out about 2 cm at the top. Press the lid onto the marzipan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the almond shell:<\/strong><br>Mix the sugar, almonds and cinnamon or gingerbread spice in a bowl. Brush the apples with the melted butter, roll in the almond and sugar mixture and place in a baking dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour in enough apple juice to cover the bottom of the casserole dish. The apples should be about 1\/2 cm high in the juice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place the baking dish on the spacer rack on the firebricks and roast the apples for approx. 25-40 minutes (depending on the size of the apples). Add apple juice if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serve hot with ice cream and\/or whipped cream.
